Despite Climate Action Week being flanked by Ex-hurricane Ophelia and Storm Brian we partnered with @GalwayGreenLeaf and @EuropeanGreenCapitalAward to carry out some of our proposed actions and to get started on all. Our fourth and fifth classes were involved in planting bluebells, studying leaves to identify trees in order to create a nature trail within our school grounds and the building of a bug hotel - Buggingham Palace! We will also be planting an edible garden and a Blackthorn in the coming weeks. Work is still ongoing and we cannot wait to see the finished products. We also managed to start clearing out some of our raised beds to begin our edible garden and look forward to planting these soon. @GreenSchoolsIreland @AnTaisce
