PUPIL WORK FOR Monday MAY 18TH TO FRIDAY MAY 29TH 2020
Dear Parents.
I hope that you are all keeping well and safe and that everyone is in good health. If you have any questions or queries related to school during this closure please email [email protected] and we will get back to you as soon as possible. Some of you have already been in contact. There is still no access to the school for parents unfortunately.
Some of the children may not have their books with them so we are using some free online books in their place. We would suggest that much of this work should be done in a separate or spare copy if possible. The teachers can then correct this when the children return to school. Most of the free ebooks that we are using are available at https://my.cjfallon.ie/dashboard/student-resources. You have to enter any valid email address but after that all the books you need will be free to use.
Under Level Tick Primary - Then Tick your Class - Next Tick the Subject - Now Tick the Series – Then Tick the Title - Finally make sure Online Book is selected on the right of the screen. All you have to do then is click the eye symbol beside the book name and it will open on screen. This will work on a laptop/smartphone/ipad etc…..and is totally free. You do need to provide an email address to get started.
The block of work listed below is from Monday 18th May to Friday 29th May

Hello boys,
Hope you & your families are still keeping safe. So by now you have heard the government has decided that we won’t be going back to school. No doubt, you are as shocked & saddened by this news as much as we are ☹ We would love to have seen you all before the summer – bet you have all gotten so tall over the last few weeks ☺ But we must try to keep everyone safe so we can all start back again in September.
Below is some work for the next 2 weeks. Just do as much as possible as we know there is an important date coming up - May 23rd was supposed to be a very special date for our boys who were due to receive their First Holy Communion. We will be thinking of you all in a special way on that day. We are sure that you will all get the chance to have a big celebration again with family & friends when the time is right.

6th Class Plan of Work for May 18th – 29th
Dear 6th Class pupils and parents,
I hope you are all keeping well and everyone is managing to access some of the work that is being set out for you. We’ve had another lovely week, weather wise, and I hope you are all getting outside and keeping track of your steps J This week I spoke to Mr. Munroe about Graduation and while it will be strange as we won’t be able to do what we have done in previous years I have a few ideas. I’m setting you a task this week to think of a nice memory/memories you have of your time in St. Michael’s (this does not have to be from 6th class, it can be from any year) and email this to me at [email protected]. It would be lovely to hear from as many of you as possible. This email address can be used to contact me if any of you have any questions on the work I have set or if you are stuck on anything.

An example of this may be Thomas Edison, Alexander Fleming, Alexander Graham Bell... there are plenty to choose from.
